Weight Club

It is important that your pet is the correct weight for their size and breed.  Animals may be overweight or underweight due to an underlying medical condition or due to incorrect feeding.  Other factors that can also affect your pets weight include breed, age, whether they are neutered, and the amount of exercise they get.

Obesity is one of the most common problems we see in pets today.  With the vast array of pet foods and treats on offer, it can be difficult to choose the best food for your pet.

Overweight animals are more susceptible to heart disease, diabetes and joint problems, and extra bodyweight will increase the discomfort experienced by animals suffering from arthritis.

Whether your pets is overweight or underweight, our nursing team can advise you on which diets are best suited to your pet and how to achieve the optimum weight for your pet.
