Summer 2010 - Orlando Cinnamond

Orlando is an 8 year old, beautiful Ginger, long haired cat.

He weighed 6.43Kg (14lb 3oz) when he joined Okeford’s Weight Clinics in December 2009, after a visit to see one of our vets raised concerns over his increasing weight.

Initially Orlando was trialled on a lighter version of his normal food with an adjustment to his feeding amounts, but this proved to still be too high a calorie diet for him.

On 3rd March 2010 Orlando was started on Royal Canin Obesity diet. His daily requirements were calculated according to his target weight of 5Kg (11lb), and he was sent home with strict feeding instructions.

After 3 months of hard work and dedication from Mrs Cinnamond, Orlando has lost a very respectable 11% of his initial bodyweight, now weighing in at 5.71Kg (12lb 9oz) and is well on his way to reaching his target weight.
