Okeford Braveheart Award
What is the Okeford Braveheart Award?
Each month the staff at Okeford Veterinary Centre nominate an animal for the award of Braveheart of the Month.
The animals are chosen for demonstrating exceptional bravery and courage during the treatment of serious condition or major operation.
A display is placed in reception about the animal’s condition and treatment. The pet will receive a certificate of bravery and a tag for their collar/cage.
Each monthly winner is then nominated for Braveheart of the Year. Clients, members of the public, and staff vote for the pet they feel deserves to be the winner for the year. The winner of the year is pictured for the local paper and receives a trophy (kindly donated by Mrs Doreen Bater in remembrance of Katie her Pembrokshire Corgi) that the owner keeps for the year and is engraved with their pets name. They also receive a keep sake and a certificate.
