Ultrasound
We have recently up graded our ultrasound scanner. This machine was previously used by human cardiologists and is a very powerful tool giving us sharp, clear images.
It has a wide range of uses and can be used readily in sick animals as they usually require no sedation for the procedure.
The uses for this machine include –
- Pregnancy diagnosis
- Echo-cardiograph (heart scan) including colour Doppler.
- Abdominal scans including liver, kidneys, intestinal, bladder, spleen, prostate, pancreas, eyes and uterus.
- Ultrasound guided sampling and draining of fluid and biopsies.
