• Adequate space is available for natural behaviours
• Your lifestyle and whether it is ethical to have your chosen specie
• Day to day costs of looking after the pet – feeding, bedding etc
• Additional costs and vet bills
It is also essential to get as much knowledge about your chosen pet prior to purchasing so that you are well prepared when your pet arrives.
